REPIPING SERVICE

Whether your pipes are outdated, problematic, or you are planning to remodel, we are here to answer your questions about modifying your plumbing pipe system and provide expert service you can trust.

What is Re-piping?

Standard repiping projects include installation of all new hot and cold domestic water piping from the water source to all existing faucets and fixtures, and adding new shut off valves and angle stops on all fixtures. After the new piping system is installed the water is turned back on, the system is pressure tested and then flushed out. The repiping process takes 1-3 days to install the new piping system. After the actual plumbing replacement, there will be some required wall patching. If you are remodeling then it’s a great time to repipe as well.

When to Replace Piping

There are several reasons you may need to repipe your home or business. Corrosion of pipes may cause low water pressure, rusty colored water, reduced water flow, or leaks. If you are going to remodel it is a good time to repipe before you paint or finish your walls. It is important to understand the scope of the project before work is started. If you notice an isolated leak or a small portion of your existing piping leaking, or valves that are corroded or cracked, it is quite possibly an indication of a larger problem. A professional site inspection is critical to a successful repiping process.

Which Type of Piping Should I Use?

Traditional Copper: We only use American-made, high-quality Grade L copper pipes in our installations. Copper is a high quality, corrosion-resistant, durable metal that is not prone to leaking. If your home was built more than five years ago, you could have corroded galvanized pipes which will continue to deteriorate.

Aquapex (PEX): This is a relatively new material that expands when it freezes and contracts when it thaws. It has a limited warranty for 25 years but this is only valid if it’s installed by a certified installer and void if not. We are a certified plumbing contractor, have successfully completed the Uponor course and remain in good standing.
